LOA: Letter of Authorization ip announcement and/or acceptance

Guardfox is able to announce and/or accept your private IPv4 and IPv6 subnets under the Guardfox ASN or your own AS number to use on your own router. Guardfox will accept it ONLY by a signed LOA.

  • If you want us to announce your IP subnets on the Guardfox ASN, we need a LOA with the subnets you want us to announce. Your subnets announcement configuration will be announced for  199,- EUR (one time) + yearly fee of 162,- EUR.
  • If you are running your own ASN on your own router (GRE tunnels are supported) behind the Guardfox network, we need a LOA with only your ASN. All IP subnets behind the ASN will be accepted free, based on proper RIPE database (route object) description. Also, updates afterward are free of charge.

Below an example of what you can use as a template.

Remarks:

  • All IP subnets are announced by the Guardfox private network:  Ip space is announced by all connect peering and transits of the Guardfox IP network.
  • Max 1 AS numbers and/or 10 IP subnets per LOA. If you have more subnets, you need to send us multiple LOA’s.

Ripe justifications

  • When your IP space is registered at Ripe, and you want Guardfox to announce it by its routers, Guardfox will need to make a route object in the Ripe database. To do that, in the Ripe database you need to add “GUARDFOX-MNT” as “mnt-routes”. Only with this set, Guardfox is able to add the route object on your IP space.
  • When your IP space or ASN is registered at Ripe, and you want to announce it by your own router under your own (main) ASN, Guardfox will add the import and export settings in the Ripe database.
